Sydney Women's International Club Inc. (SWIC) is a non-profit association, founded and incorporated in January 1997 by a group of like minded women who collectively sought to create a club that:

• welcomes women who are new to Sydney
• promotes opportunities for social contact between newcomers and local women
• provides opportunities to explore Sydney with friends

SWIC is affiliated with other international women's associations through Open Door. SWIC is non-political, non-religious, non-commercial and is open to all nationalities.

SWIC has a membership of approximately 250 women from 22 countries.  The annual turnover of members is about 25% of membership numbers. The Club is run by a Committee of up to 14 current members who are elected yearly. All Interest Groups have a convenor who has an interest in the subject and who co-ordinates the activity of the group.
